Support

Answered by a person, usually the same day

Write to support@orbeo.me, or from inside the app: Settings → Write to support opens a conversation with @orbeo_help. Both reach the same person — Prikota Kirill Olegovich, who runs Orbeo.

Signing in

An account is an Orbeo ID and an access code. There is no phone number, no email and no SMS: whatever device you are on, those two are enough. If sign-in says the ID or the code is wrong, check that the ID has no leading “@” and that the keyboard is in English.

I lost the access code

Use the twelve-word recovery phrase shown to you once at sign-up: on the sign-in screen tap Forgot the access code? The words are typed in the same order, lowercase, separated by spaces.

If both the access code and the phrase are gone, the account cannot be returned — not by support either. There is no phone number or email attached to it, so there is nothing left to prove it is yours. This is the cost of a messenger without phone numbers, and we would rather say it than pretend otherwise.

Something rude, dangerous or illegal

Report is in the menu of every message and every conversation; Block is in the conversation menu and on a person’s profile card. A report reaches a human, is looked at within 24 hours, and can end with the message deleted for everyone, the conversation frozen, or the account limited or removed. Material involving the sexual exploitation of children is reported to the authorities, not merely deleted.

Notifications do not arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Orbeo in the system settings of the phone, then use Settings → Check notifications in the app: it sends a test notification to this very device and says plainly what went wrong.

Deleting the account

Settings → Delete account. It happens at once: the account, the profile and the photos you uploaded are removed. Messages you already sent stay in other people’s conversations — they are part of someone else’s correspondence — but your name is no longer attached to them.

Where Orbeo runs

In a browser at web.orbeo.me and in the app on your phone. One account works in both at once.

Reporting a bug or asking for a feature

Write to support@orbeo.me. It helps to say what device and version you are on — the version and build date are at the bottom of Settings.
